Sapporo was founded in 1876 by Seibei Nakagawa, Japan’s first brewmaster, who brought European brewing techniques back to Japan.
Seibei left Japan at the age of 17 where his travels eventually led him to Germany where he learned the art of beer making.
Sapporo stands as a true pioneer making it the ICONIC FIRST BEER OF JAPAN - a symbol of dedication, and the enduring spirit of Japanese excellence.
